Whether it be supporting an emotive acoustic singer-songwriter or holding down the groove in a larger band ensemble, solid, supportive and sensible bass lines are what you get. Chard has performed at hundreds of live shows including TV & radio performances, festivals, corporate events, private parties, and at venues across the country. He plays around the Portland area as a soloist and is a member of multi-award winning regional band Keegan Smith & the Fam, The Doo Doo Funk All-Stars, and instrumental groove trio, The Goodness.

Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Oswego and is a freelance bass guitar player, teacher, BMI writer, publisher, and producer based out of Portland, Oregon. Chard has been a part of over 20 recordings with a wide variety of independent artists. He is constantly striving to grow and evolve his knowledge about music and the bass guitar. He is the recipient of three group accolades at the 2009 & 2011 Portland Music Awards, winning awards for Best Live Performance and Band of the Year.
